Hina is a Hair Stylist in Leicester who had a salon near our retail store in Leicester for 15 years. She then decided to realise a dream and build a new salon in the garden of her home.
This was something she had thought about for years and was now in the process of turning her dream into a reality. She called us early on to say she wanted an audio system and CCTV for security.
As this was a purpose built salon & a non-permanent structure, she employed a company who looked after the whole project. She found out what we needed and co-ordinated with the company and got us into the communication loop so we could work with them when they were on site.
We liaised with them to book a slot in the diary that worked for us all. We firstly pre-wired the camera and speaker wire for the audio system. We also pre-cut the shell ready for the speakers.
As she always had trust in our choices, she left the equipment choice to us. We decided on:
1. Kef CI200TR In Wall Speakers
2. Sonos Control Amp
3. SPro 2mp AHD Camera
Due to the depth of the structure, a regular in wall speaker was too deep. So we opted for the KEF option due to mounting depth being so thin and the exceptional sound quality.
It was tricky due to the confined space but we got it in as planned. We housed the Sonos Connect Amp in the reception cabinet, hidden away. We connected up her Apple phone to Sonos for her to listen to Apple music and control the volume off her phone. We then installed the camera, in an optimal position to cover the reception area, entry door and client chairs. This was connected to the existing CCTV app so she could view her home and salon on one app.
She feels completey at home in her new Salon and only regret is that she didn’t do it sooner.
